Hi there! I am having some trouble when editing, combining files, and saving them is not an option. I get an error saying "The document could not be saved. The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder." Please help!

Hi there, managed to figure the problem, it was a mac security software installed that was not allowing files to be saved. Once I disabled the locations I have been able to save files and use without an issue.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As you are experiencing issues while editing and combining the PDFs and getting the above error message.

Is this a behavior with a particular set of PDF files or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different set of PDF files and check. If the files are stored on a shared network/drive please download them to your computer first and then try again and check.

Also please try to reboot the computer once and see if that helps.

If your file/asset is in a folder that is synced with Google Drive, Drop Box, One drive or the like simply quit the backup/sync utility and then hit save on the file. Note: "Pausing" the sync may not allow a file save. You must quit the sync app.

Also make sure you have the application updated to the latest version 21.05.20058 go to help > Check for updates.

Regards

Amal

Tired rebooting my mac and it didn't change. As for the files they are locally saved and not synced to a cloud.
