Unable to save edited text in Acrobat DC. Text becomes illegible.

This has been frustrating me for days. 

 

Open PDF > Edit > Select text 

 

Now, at this point we all know how bad the text can be once we begin to edit it. Moves left, up or the spacing is all messed up. My work around is to use the 'text spacing' option on the right menu bar and try and get the spacing as close as possible. This happens on at least 80% of all text I need to edit. This isn't the problem, just another bug and the most buggy program ever created. 

 

AFTER text has been edited, and I "save as" the text magically becomes gibberish. He is what one example looks like: 

 

Yes I have checked for updates, tried exporting to Word (even worse, suprise!) and the last resort is spending time writing some post that probably won't end up fixing my issue. 

 

If anyone knows the magic trick here, I would be eternally greatful.
