Unable to save on Adobe Acrobat after updating to macOS Monterey 12.3.

I just updated my operating system to Monterey 12.3 and I am not able to save documents in Adobe Acrobat. When the "save as" window comes up the "save" button is fully grey and the software doesn't allow me to click any other buttons. I have to force quit in order to get out of that window.

Tried restarting and also tried unselecting "show online storage when opening files" and "show oline storage when saving files" as was mentioned in other boards.

Any fix out there so I can continue to save and edit documents?

Hi Erin,

Looking at the description given above, it seems that whenever you are trying to save a pdf, the screen and Acrobat is getting freeze. It's not only the Save As window which is giving the blank white box. It's the whole screen goes fully grey. Is that correct?

Please try the following troubleshooting steps to see if that helps:

1- Quit Acrobat completely from the Activity monitor.

2- Reopen and try opening a different pdf. Still the same issue? Then navigate to Navigate to Adobe Acrobat>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected View" and "Enhanced Security">OK>close and reopen Acrobat and check back.

3- Try saving the document to a different location. Like if it is on the cloud then download it locally on the computer and then save it.

4- When nothing works, run this cleaner tool to remove the application: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

and reinstall it from this link: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Thanks,

Akanchha
