Unable to Save PDF due to Preview mode in Windows Explorer on

Dear,

In our company we have multiple users which have the Preview mode in Windows Explorer enabled.
If they click on the PDF and open it in Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 (2020.005.30636) they can edit the pdf

and save the pdf when the pdf file is located on the local harddisk of the computer.

The moment the pdf is located on the network drive and they are in the office connected with the network cable and the open the pdf and edit it, they are unable to save it because it says that the file is readonly and they must safe it under a different name.
If you disable the Preview mode in Windows Explorer there is no issue.

Is there some way we can get around this problem because if tried different options like modifying the parameters in the Security (Enhanced) options and also adding the location to the trusted Sites

Kind Regards,

Jöran

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

As the users are able to edit and save the PDF when the PDF file is located on the local harddisk of the computer, it doesn't seem to be an issue with Acrobat. As its a IT managed work computer, please try to get in touch with the IT admin at your end and see if that helps.
