Unable to Sign or Save PDF due Error 105

As the title states I am unable to sign or save a document due to error 105. I have seen some of the other posts on here about the error code but due to the document much of the other solutions do not work. I do not have the permissions to alter or change the document as the document is encrypted and has security measures within it. What is the solution?

Hey! I know this can be really frustrating, especially with an encrypted document. I’d recommend trying out some solutions from a couple of online guides that address Error 105 for saving or signing PDFs, as I also tried one of the methods mentioned there, which worked in my case. These steps may help you resolve the issue. You can check out the guide that helps me: https://www.izoate.com/blog/how-to-fix-adobe-acrobat-error-105-solutions-for-saving-signing-and-pdf-issues/

Also, I found a couple of community posts where others had similar issues and shared some great fixes. You might want to try the solutions mentioned there as well:

I hope one of these helps you out! Let me know if you need anything else.

The solution is to contact the document owner and obtain permission

Error 105 is often caused by a problem with the PDF viewer or editor that you are using, or by a problem with the PDF file itself.

Here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Make sure that you are using the latest version of your PDF viewer or editor. Outdated software can sometimes cause issues when viewing or editing PDF files.

    2. Try opening the PDF file in a different viewer or editor. This will help you determine if the issue is with the file itself or with the software you are using.

    3. If the issue is with the PDF file, you may be able to repair it using a PDF repair tool. There are a number of these tools available online that can fix common issues with PDF files.

    4. If none of these suggestions help, you may need to contact the person or organization who created the PDF file and ask them to provide you with a new copy that does not have the security measures or encryption that is causing the issue.
