Unable to stop Acrobat DC Reader from opening Tools pane on left

I just installed a new version of Acrobat DC Reader (64 bit). I'm using Windows 10 on a desktop computer. When I open Menu > Documents and check the box "Remember current state of Tools Pane", I still get the left-hand "All Tools" menu when I open any document, even though I've closed that menu when viewing documents previously. (There is no "Okay" button to save "Remember current state of Tools Pane," but it does remain checked.) The "All Tools" menu takes up a lot of screen space, so I have to close it manually for every PDF I open.  In my version of Acrobat DC, the Edit menu does not have a "Preferences" option, so I have to use the main menu to find "Remember the current state of Tools Pane". What can I do to stop that "All Tools" left-side menu from opening, every time I open a document? Thanks.

Hi @Wayne23408031r1fu ,

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

The preference option is now available under the hamburger menu on the top left corner of the screen.

We acknowledge that the new Acrobat represents a notable change; however, we hope that as you get familiar with the new interface, you can be more productive and get more out of Acrobat.

We are actively working on the feedbacks and suggestions and we will address them with the highest priority.

As you get more comfortable with the new interface, please contact us with specific questions on tools, features, or functionalities. We’re happy to provide helpful resources and answers to your questions.

If your critical workflows are impacted, you can switch to the old UI from the “Menu” on the top left corner of Windows and View Menu on MacOS.  For more info. about the new Acrobat please go through the help page https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/learn-about-new-acrobat/td-p/14078856
