Question

Unable to uncrop a scanned document once the cropped section has been edited.

Hi, I have the full version of Adobe Acrobat Pro and I have a scanned document that needs editing. I have used the crop tool to edit the section I desire, but once I've edited that section, I can no longer uncrop the scanned page, which is frustrating. I am able to crop and uncrop prior to editing. Can someone help me with what I might be missing?

@Sputnik1! When you edit a scanned document (especially if you use OCR to make it editable), Acrobat might treat the cropped area as a new object or image, separate from the original scanned page. This can interfere with the uncropping function. Immediately after editing and encountering the uncropping issue, try using the "Undo" function (Ctrl+Z or Cmd+Z) to revert the editing changes. This might restore the original cropping behavior.

If that doesn't work, try Tools - Print Production - Set Page Boxes. In the dialog box, under "Margin Controls," try clicking "Set to Zero" to reset the crop margins.
