Unable to uninstall Acrobat X Pro silently - Error 1602: Removal failed

Hi all,

I'm trying to remove end of life versions of Adobe Acrobat, specifically X Pro in this case, remotely using the command line. I'm trying to use the following command:

msiexec /x {AC76BA86-1033-F400-7760-000000000005} /qn /norestart

But it never does anything, when I check event viewer for the target computer it says:

-----

Product: Adobe Acrobat X Pro - English, Français, Deutsch -- Removal failed.

Windows Installer removed the product. Product Name: Adobe Acrobat X Pro - English, Français, Deutsch. Product Version: 10.1.16. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Adobe Systems. Removal success or error status: 1602.

-----

Does anyone know the correct command I should be using to remove this software?

I am having the same issue.  Do you know of a good solution?  I suspect that either the application is currently running or a plugin of it is but can't confirm as the end user is not responsive at the moment.

Very possibly. The 1602 error is coming from msiexec and possibly revolves around an in-use/shared file that requires rebooting to complete.
