Unable to use the Object CUT. It is grey

How can i activate the OBJECT CUT? I need to be able to cut part of the PDF, copy it and paste it somewhere else. I used to be able to do this before August 2024. THanks.

This tool is used to crop images, not to cut/copy-paste part of the objects on the page.

I haven't. I thought that was the same icon i used to use whenever i wanted to cut a piece of the pdf, copy it and paste it in word. Do you know how i can do it with the new version? Thanks.
