Unauthorized Installation of McAfee by Adobe Acrobat – A Blatant Breach of Trust!

I recently installed Adobe Acrobat, and to my absolute dismay, I discovered that McAfee was installed on my system without my explicit consent! This unauthorized installation is a blatant breach of trust and an infuriating intrusion into my personal computer. How can a reputable company like Adobe stoop so low as to bundle unwanted software with their products? Not only is this practice deceptive, but it also compromises the integrity of my system and disrespects my autonomy as a user. I demand an immediate explanation, an apology, and a commitment from Adobe to never engage in such unethical practices again. This is no way to treat loyal customers, and I am seriously reconsidering my relationship with Adobe due to this incident.

I don't work for or speak for Adobe, but did you get the installer directly from them (here, perhaps: https://get.adobe.com/reader/)? If so, did you make sure to scroll all the way down the page? Because there are check-boxes there that allow you to opt-out of these "add-ons" (which I personally also dislike very much, by the way). If you're based in the US it's likely those boxes will be checked by default, but not if you're based in the EU. In that case they should be ticked off by default. I'm not sure about other locales...
