Hi Tectona,

If I got your query correctly, then you have a PDF document which already has "Digital Signature" on it and now you want to undo it to use the simple signature?

Or is it a case, where you want to remove Certificates for signature in general (for all pdfs which requires signature), so that you can sign simply?

In first scenario, if a PDF is already signed digitally then you can remove the signature only when you own it, which means you signed it not somebody else. Open PDF using Reader or Acrobat and right click on digital signature>Clear Signature.

Note: You can't clear the signature if document was locked during signing.

In second scenario, if you don't want to use "Certificates for signature" then use "Fill & Sign" for simple signing.

Hope this answers your query. Let me know if I didn't get it correctly.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Hi Akki,

Thank you for the response.

It’s more like the second scenario. When I go to “Fill & Sign” and go to “Place Signature” I get a box where I select “Drag New Signature Rectangle” and select a rectangle area in the file. However, then a box comes up looking for a file, as shown below:

I can’t find a way to just place the signature that I’ve created some time ago (or is that a file that I can find stored somewhere). I created the signature by importing a photo of my actual signature.

Best regards,

Craig
