Unmade Lines in my Vector Art from Ai

I made a piece in Ai and made it a pdf for a client. There are lines that I did not make on the piece surrounding the logo of the business. How do I get rid of them?

    Hi @New to This,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing the screenshot! We can see the thin lines you've highlighted around your artwork and understand your concern, especially since you're preparing the PDF for a client.

Sometimes, thin lines in PDFs can be related to how transparency is processed or displayed. We want to check a couple of things to understand better what's happening with your file.

Could you please try the following?

    1. Open the PDF in Acrobat and go to Menu > Preferences (Windows) or Acrobat > Preferences (macOS).

    2. Select Page Display, and under Rendering, temporarily uncheck Smooth Line, Art.

    3. Check whether the lines are still visible. You can restore the setting afterward.

It would also help if you could confirm a few details:

    • Do the same lines appear in your original Illustrator file, or only in the exported PDF?

    • Are the lines visible when you print the PDF, or only when viewing it on screen?

    • Which PDF preset did you use when saving the artwork from Illustrator?

These details will help us understand whether the lines are related to how the PDF is displayed or to the exported artwork.

For more information, you can refer to our transparency flattening guide for Illustrator.

We appreciate you sharing the example with us. Please let us know what you find, and we'll be happy to help you look into this further.

    Regards,
    ^BS

It was the smooth line art option. Thank you.
