Unreasonable Fees

Question

I was literally seconds away from signing up when I noticed the "early termination fee". So I investigated to find that these are my choices:

Early termination: Pay 50% for not having a crystal ball

Go month-to-month: Pay 50% more all the time

Those are really the choices? I actually own a copy of Adobe CS Master Suite 5, back when you could pay your money and end your relationship with Adobe. Now that you have to marry them, and they want a prenup, I think I'll just opt out.

You can still purchase a so-called "perpetual" license for Acrobat, and pay only once. The current version with that license is called Acrobat 2020. You can find it on this page: https://www.adobe.com/products/catalog/software.html
