My employer sent me a PDF that needs filled out and signed. When I downloaded the PDF, it opened in Preview and said that I needed to update my Adobe Acrobat and when I did the info on the PDF would appear as it should. I updated my Adobe Acrobat and tried to redownload the PDF. It gave me the same message. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help!

Preview is a free PDF viewer on Macs provided by Apple.

It is not the same as Adobe Acrobat.

You want to bypass Preview (which won't let you fill it out or sign it) and force the PDF to open in Adobe Acrobat.

Check to see if you have a version of Adobe Acrobat on your computer. Its icon will have the Adobe trefoil

or

If you haven't yet done so, download your boss' PDF and save it to your computer. Then, launch any version of Adobe Acrobat you find on your computer, and from there, go to File / Open and open your boss' PDF.
