Upgrade pop-up every time I comment

I use the free version of Acrobat to work on pdfs, I cannot afford to upgrade. I use the comment function to make notes of changes. Since this morning, every time I make any text note (insert, add or delete text) a message pops up asking me to upgrade. Can I get rid of it?

Hi @Triceramops 

 

Hope you are doing well and am sorry for the trouble. Please go to Edit (Win), Adobe Acrobat (Mac) > Preferences > General > Under, Messages from Adobe, Uncheck 'Show me messages from Adobe' > Click OK and reboot the computer and see if that works.

Thanks for replying - but I don't have a 'Messages from Adobe'  option under the General tab - I haven't been able to find it anywhere else either
