I have used the javascript to add a button that allows users to upload a file (mainly PDFs and Word docs). It works fine (i.e., is labeled, clickable, allows me to search for a file, seemingly adds attachment) when I preview the form. When I request an e-signature, however, the button disappears as if it was never there. It's just a blank space. How do I get the button to display so that users can upload their files?
When a PDF is "sent for signatures" (using the tool in Acrobat), it is uploaded to the Adobe Sign server and converted to the Adobe Sign format. This format only allows specific types of fields, such a text fields. And since the file is no longer a PDF, all the scripts and other PDF specific interactive features are removed.
Adobe sign is it's own world.
