Urgent: Performance Issues with Adobe Acrobat After Recent Updates

For the past month, all of my users with an Adobe Acrobat license have been experiencing significant slowdowns when opening and editing documents with Acrobat.

On some newer machines, regardless of whether they have the paid or free version, the program fails to open unless we manually change the compatibility settings to a different operating system. Given that this is a paid software, I find it unacceptable that it behaves this way.

Additionally, printing documents from Acrobat has become extremely slow—loading the print dialog alone takes at least two minutes. These issues started occurring after the recent updates.

Could you please provide clarification on when these problems will be resolved?

Hi @Massimo35545549r5xi,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble.

The issue you mentioned with launching is something we are aware of, and working with Microsoft.

The patch has been released by them, and the fix should be released from our side at the earliest.

Also, please ensure that the users are on the latest version (2025.001.20432) for the best experience.

Regards,
Souvik.

Hi @Massimo35545549r5xi

Thanks for reporting this issue. We would need following additional information to help debug the issue

1. Acrobat version you have on the machine

2. OS version

3. Any protection software installed on the machines

4. Logs from your machine. You can use Adobe Diagnostic tool to capture and share the logs

Steps to use Diagnostic tool

Close Acrobat
Download and run Diagnostics utility https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-diagnostics.html
Select Start Diagnostics.
Now Open Acrobat and reproduce the issue where Acrobat is having performance issues
Select Stop Monitoring, and share the log ID with us.

Regards

Ravi
