Use custom pattern in the Find and Highlight Words action

i'm replying to this post because it is more recent than the ones about using the actions from acrobat actions exchange

in the Find and Highlight Words action, when i edited the specify settings of the search & remove text, the search popup window is for 'simple' search. there's no way to select a pattern, standard (such as date) or custom.

my goal is to create my own pattern and use it in a find and highlight action.

i know how to create a pattern and manually use it under redact.

how do i change the javascript to do this in an action...
