Using Adobe DC, how do i create a preset so that i don't have to specify the colour choice and paper choice each time i want to scan a document?

using adobe dc, how do i set up a preset custom so that i don't have to specify the paper size and ink colour each time i want to scan a document.  When i try to use the custom scan, everything is greyed out and not responsive. Thank you.
