Question

Using Calculate function with instructional text read only & display but not print

Hello,

I constructed a PDF for an expense sheet.  I want the text boxes to be completely blank if I print a copy with no data entered.  So far, that worked fine with all the other boxes except for the boxes for the running total.  I used the calculate function along with the script I was given but for some reason, it displays a 0 regardless if any data is entered and it also appears on the blank copy.  I have included some pics of how I have it set up.  I would also like it to have a $ in front of the number and if the number has 00 for decimals for the the two decimal places to display when data is entered.  I would also like to know if there is a way to circle a choice instead of a check mark or a solid circle or cross.   Please let me know if you can help me.

One question at time. When posting the initial question, please clearly state a single issue. Wading through a long list of images with meaningless names is a non-starter. The important bit is to keep things as simple and direct as possible.

So the main issue here seems to be a non-functioning calculation, which has nothing to do with printing or instructional text. You're title is way off.

If you'd like help, post the total calculation script and tell us what if any formatting is selected for the total field. These are the only important issues.
