Vector graphic with annoying dashed lines

I have a graphic created in MATLAB and saved to pdf. When I open the pdf file, the surface of the graphic has a lot of white dashed lines that are not present in the original graphic. However, when I open the same pdf file in Illustrator those lines are not present.

I think it is a problem with pdf conversion. I attached a picture of the image on the pdf file and a raster image for comparison. The raster image does not have the dashed lines. I want my vector graphic (pdf) to look like the raster image, without the annoying dashed lines.

Any suggestions, help, please.

Perhaps the PDF creation process is compressing the images, effectively lowering the resloution, giving the appearance of the dashed lines.  What process did you  use to creat the PDF?  You may have the ability to control how images are converted, depending on the process you use.  If you poke around settings, and you see choices such as 'Standard', 'Pres Quality', etc., you may have better success is you switch to the Press Quality setting.  And even those presets are adjustable.

Thanks for your answer Dave, but the problem continues.

I save the graphic in EMF (Enhanced MetaFile) and import from Word and the graphic looks nice, in vector format. I can zoom the page in Word and the graphic does not change its quality (since it is a vector graphic). When I save into pdf format the problem persists and the dashed lines emerge again.

In Adobe (Edit\Preferences\Categories: Convert To PDF), in the panel Converting To PDF\Microsoft Office Word (see the picture) I tried with different Adobe PDF Settings but nothing change.

How can I upload the pdf and word file for you to try? Maybe is my Adobe installation. I appreciate your help.

My Adobe is: Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Version 2019.010.20064
