Ver 10 Pro-not uninstalled

Update version did not uninstall previous version so release it from Acrobat reg. When trying to intall the previous version on another PC, it says to uninstall it. How do I do that?

Does it actually say to "uninstall" it? What is the exact message? I'd expect it to say you must deactivate it.

The short story: About 4 years ago, my PC crashed hard, I had to reinstall Acrobat X Pro. The crashed hard drive took the first copy. Then last year, I had many many problems with Acrobat, finally I purchased version 17 under duress. As Adobe could not get the X pro to quit having issues. I was unaware that I needed to "deactivate" X pro. The purchase and install should have done that since it was going on the same PC. So yes, you are correct. It did say deactivate. How do I do that now that 17 removed it when it was installed?
