Question

Video in Acrobat

I want to create a document which includes a video. It also contains a couple of screenshots. I'm trying to articulate how I would like to create a mobile application.  I've created a document in PAGES and it works nicely, but to send it to others I need to put it in a format everyone can use. So, when I convert my PAGES doc to Acrobat, the video appears as a still.

What can I do?

Hi @cdcolo

Thank you for reaching out with your question.
Converting an MS Word file with images is possible, but a file with Embedded Video is not supported for conversion to PDF.
You may use the Multi-Media tool: https://adobe.ly/3ZvfxfE to embed Videos in the PDF file.

You need to embed the video directly into the PDF using Adobe Acrobat Pro:

Steps:

  1. Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  2. Go to Tools > Rich Media > Add Video.
  3. Click and drag to draw a box where you want the video to appear.
  4. Select your video file (MP4/H.264 format is recommended).
  5. Adjust playback options as needed.
  6. Save the PDF.

Please remember that embedded videos in PDFs only play in desktop versions of Acrobat Reader/Pro. Many browsers and mobile viewers do not support video playback in PDFs.

Let us know if you have further questions.
