Wacom Pen Stops Writing After Lift

Hi,

I've avoided marking up in acrobat for 4 years due to this and figured there must be a way to fix it. I have a Wacom 13, running windows 10 and on acrobat Pro.  When I print the first leter it will be ok. As soon as i lift for the second it just makes a dot and stops writting. It also trys to engage the right click menu randomly (i checked my Wacon settings and also it doesnt do this in any other program). If i do cursive it works fine until you have to go to the next word.

Not sure if it's lag or a setting. I have to bring PDF's into visio as an image and then mark them up. It sucks lol.  Any idea what I'm missing?

Hi @rwanko,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble, and the delayed response.

In case you are still looking for a solution, you might want to try the below steps:

Disable Windows Ink in Wacom Settings

Windows Ink can sometimes interfere with pen input in Acrobat.

  • Steps:
    1. Open the Wacom Desktop Center or Wacom Tablet Properties.
    2. Locate the settings for your pen.
    3. Disable "Use Windows Ink" for Acrobat (you can create a separate application profile for Acrobat in Wacom settings).

Disable Touch Mode in Acrobat

Acrobat may be mistakenly switching between pen and touch input.

  • Steps:
    1. In Acrobat, click View > Show/Hide > Toolbar Items > Touch Mode.
    2. Ensure Touch Mode is turned off.

Also, ensure that you are on the latest version of Acrobat (2024.005.20xxx) for the best experience.

To do so, go to Menu-> Help-> Check for Updates.
