The “Acrobat Pro” app is no longer in our Creative Cloud apps. Was the acrobat pro” version dropped from teacher plans? All I see is the "free" Acrobat version in the teacher plan, which is not enough for our needs.

Correct answer SurfPhotographer

Here’s the solution I found on Google Search that solved the issue I have with the cluttered interface: “To declutter the Adobe Acrobat Pro 2026 home screen, disable the modern interface via Menu > Disable new Acrobat (Windows) or View > Disable new Acrobat (macOS). Streamline the interface by setting preferences to hide the home screen on startup, customizing toolbars, and closing the tools pane.”

Based on your response, would it be true that Adobe completely redesigned the interface for Acrobat Pro without any “notice” about the new interface?   If true, how can we get the “legacy “ interface back?

Don’t get me wrong, the new interface has a certain “everything but the kitchen-sink” cluttered and cute coloring book charm—almost like it’s optimized for someone in a grade school-level student just getting comfortable with Acrobat’s most colorful and obscure tools—but it doesn’t quite land in the space this seasoned professional user teaching at the college level expects.

Hi SurfPhotographer,

Thank you for sharing the screenshot.

Now, the application appears with the name 'Acrobat' only. Please don't confuse this with the statement below the Acrobat title in the screenshot, which reads: “View, share, or comment on PDFs for free. Subscribe for premium tools like editing.” This statement indicates that with a free account, you can only view, share, or comment on PDFs. It is general information available to both free and subscribed users.

Please try installing the application using the provided Acrobat install button. If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out for assistance.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi SurfPhotographer,

Thank you for reaching out.

The Acrobat Pro is still included in the Creative Cloud Pro subscription. Could you please share a screenshot showing the free version of Acrobat that you see in your plan? Additionally, please provide a screenshot of all the apps listed in the Creative Cloud desktop application. Check whether Acrobat is included among those apps. This information will help us better understand the issue you are experiencing.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Sure - here’s a screenshot showing “acrobat” - but not “acrobat pro”. I previously had the “pro” version, and it automatically downgraded it to the “free” version on both of my HP laptops (windows 11 pro & my backup laptop running on windows pro 10).
