Watermark not saving

My watermark function on Adobe Acrobat doesn't work properly - I can add a watermark but it doesn't save. I add them through Edit PDF - Watermark - Add. (iMac), so maybe it's to do with my account? I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

What do you mean by "it doesn't save"? Does it not prompt you to save the file when you close it?

Or it does, but the watermark is not visible the next time you open the file? Or something else?

It does prompt me to save, and I do save it and then when I go to the file,
I saved it in the watermark. It’s not there.

Does this happen with all files, or just this specific one? Did you create this file, or did you get it from someone else?
