We cannot verify your subscription status

I have a user who is unable to log into adobe reader. They recieve an error message each time they launch the app.

The error message states that "We cannot verify your subscription status". If I launch the app and run as a different user and enter my another users account the app works. 

I signed the user into adobe.com checked his account and confirmed he had access, but he was still unable to log in.
