webp format support saving webpage to PDF

Hi

ran into issue of trying to 'print' or 'save as' a page to PDF from a website page, which had images optimized via server side mod_pagespeed as "webp" format; when I try to save as a PDF with latest Acrobat DC and the Chrome Extension, I get blank images, as apparently no support for the .webp format.

Stupidly I have to use the Chrome inbuilt "print" >> save as PDF option and it works.

Does Adobe not currently have support for webp format in all products? Hey, it's the web people!

Odd that Chrome can save the page but Adobe CC subscription and latest Acrobat cannot ?

    OKay .... sorry ... stupid me. It's only the Chrome 'extension' 'save as pdf' that doesn't know what webp is.

    If I do PRINT > ACROBAT PDF  .... it does work.

    So.... #DOH

    Actually, your WEBP images were converted to another format during the saving process. WEBP format is still not yet support in Adobe Acrobat Pro! It's pretty nuts!
