Welcome Screen/window

When I open Adobe Acrobat (Creative Cloud), the welcome screen/window shows and wants me to open a pdf, then edit a pdf, and so on. I have completed the requird steps numorus times and it still pops up when I open Acrobat. How can I get this screen to stop showing. This started with the last update. Your help with this matter is greatly appreciated.

how are you opening acrobat? eg, if you click a pdf (and acrobat is your default pdf app), that pdf should open in acrobat and no welcome screen is expected. however, if you just click the acrobat icon, that's expected.
