What is the difference between Authentication and Signature, in the "Certificate" tool of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC ?

In the certificate tool of Acrobat Reader DC, is there a difference between the Authentication and the Signature :

I guess there is a difference between the two, and I would love to know what is it.
