When i open a pdf in website it is directly opening in my pdf software,

I am opening and click a pdf link and it redirect to https://www.aubmed.org/pdf/Student-Handbook.pdf but it is not opening in chrome, instead it is opening in my pdf software ? May I know what setting i need to choose to open in chrome browser ?

     Hi James,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    Please check if you have enabled the option to download PDFs in Chrome's settings. To do this, click on the three dots in the upper right corner of Chrome and select "Settings." In the Settings window, navigate to Privacy and security > Site settings > Additional content settings > PDF documents. Make sure the option "Download PDFs" is enabled.

    If the Chrome setting didn't help, check whether any of your extensions handle PDFs or block scripts, since those can override Chrome's built-in PDF viewer. Try disabling them temporarily, or open the link in an Incognito window to see if an extension is the cause. Clearing the site's cookies and cache can also help if the old behavior is cached. Let us know what you see and someone can suggest the next step.
