When i open a pdf in website it is directly opening in my pdf software,

Please check if you have enabled the option to download PDFs in Chrome's settings. To do this, click on the three dots in the upper right corner of Chrome and select "Settings." In the Settings window, navigate to Privacy and security > Site settings > Additional content settings > PDF documents. Make sure the option "Download PDFs" is enabled.
