When I try to combine JPG as PDF it only does a maximum of 16 files. Why is this? I used to be able to combined many more files in one go.  IF I select 30 files and go to combine files in Acrobat it only takes through 16.

Hello @Mohamed32109615mpej

I hope you are doing well.

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.20693 Planned update, Sept 09, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.

  • Open Acrobat directly.
  • Go to All Tools > Combine Files.
  • Use the “Add Files” button to manually select all 30 (or more) JPGs.
  • Proceed with combining as usual.

For testing purposes, try combining other file types and see if you still experience the same behaviour.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Hello @Mohamed32109615mpej

Hope you are doing well.

Is it happening when using the context menu in Windows? If yes, then it's a limitation on Windows 11

The behavior you are experiencing is due to a limitation in Windows 11. When more than 15 files are selected, the new context menu does not display all options, which is why the "Combine as PDF" option is not visible.

For your reference, here is the official Microsoft article:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-client/shell-experience/context-menus-shortened-select-over-15-files

Workarounds:

Click on "Show more options" after right-clicking to access the full menu

Or press and hold the Shift key + Right-click to directly open the classic context menu, where the Combine option will be available

Thanks
