When I try to enter my Adobe Acrobat, it opens but then just spins and spins and never actually opens the application. Does anyone else know what to do when this happens?

When I try and open my Adobe Acrobat, the wheel ( I have a MacBook Pro) just spins and spins and the application never even gives me a chance to sign in. Anyone ever have this happen? Know what to do?
