When I try to sign or fill in a fillable form, when I touch the field, a comment box pops up and records to the box, not the field. I can delete the comment box, but I do not know how to get rid of the issue. Help greatly appreciated.

It isn’t a public form in this case - it is a contract where I needed to fill in the date, place and my signature. But it has happened with other documents. This is fairly recent. I have been using Acrobat for eons, but haven come across this before. Interestingly, I have also seen a change in Word - not consistently but on occasion when I open a new document, there is, on the side of the page, an icon for comments. I rather wonder if it is linked to the AI enhancments that are running rampant through our apps now.
