Question

When opening a PDF in Adobe, the signature inside is not visible.

Hello everyone, I’d like to ask a question:

When I open PDFs using Adobe Acrobat, I’ve noticed that signatures created with DocuSign have become invisible. However, these signatures are visible when opening the same files in browsers like Chrome or Edge. This issue occurs regardless of whether the PDF was sent by a colleague or downloaded and opened locally. The problem only started happening after I switched to a new computer (I installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC via the Microsoft Store).

When opening these PDFs, an error message appears: "An error exist on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem."

Thanks for your help.

    Hello @unique_hand1a01

Thanks for the detailed report, this is helpful. The fact that it works fine in Chrome/Edge but not in Acrobat, and that it started right after switching to a new computer with the Microsoft Store version, is a good clue.

    Could you confirm the following?

    • Which exact version of Acrobat Reader DC is shown under Help > About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC?

    • Does the same "An error exist on this page" message and invisible signature happen with every DocuSign-signed PDF you try, or only certain ones?

    • Have you tried opening the same file with a fresh, non-Microsoft Store installer of Acrobat Reader DC (downloaded directly from Adobe's site) to see if the issue persists?

You may also try uninstalling the Acrobat, reboot the computer and re-installing it directly from here: https://adobe.ly/46IXeXJ

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards,
    Amal
