when printing a pdf document the text is garbaled and resembles Chinese

We use two versions for Adobe Acrobat depending on the windows 7 and windows 10 pc. We receive bills in pdf format and create documents in pdf format. When these documents are openned and printed, the characters don't match what is on the monitor.

We experience this on printers used by VNC.

Are there any suggestions or fixes

Thanks

Hi Penelopes

We are sorry for the trouble. As described, when printing a pdf document the text is garbled.

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs that you try to print? Please try to print a different PDF file and check. Also, please share the sample PDF file with us for testing. Upload the file on the document cloud (https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/) generate the link and share the link with us.

You may also try to print the file as an image and see if that helps. Go to Print > Advanced > Print as an image. Also, please try to turn off the protected mode for testing. Go to Edit > Preferences > Enhanced Security > Turn off the Protected Mode and uncheck the Enhanced Security > Click OK > Reboot the application
Note: Please turn on the security after testing.

Please try to print the PDF file from the physical printer connected to your computer and check.

You may also refer to the steps provided in the help article (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html) and see if that works.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
