When printing to PDF from WORD 2016, PDF printer flattens the document such that hyperlinks and bookmarks are not created. How can this be changed so that bookmarks and links are maintained in the PDF?

When printing to PDF from WORD 2016 using Windows 10, PDF printer flattens the document such that hyperlinks and bookmarks are not created.  How can this be changed so that bookmarks and links are maintained in the PDF?

To be more specific, there is only one situation in which printing to Adobe PDF is recommended for products that have Acrobat PDFMaker support and that is when someone (foolishly) uses EPS graphics in Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Only the Acrobat PDFMaker save as Adobe PDF feature maintains live transparency, color management, hyperlinks, bookmarks, etc.
