Which user has an open PDF?

Hello,we often work as a team with many PDF files on server. It often happens that the user doesn't close the PDF and it is then impossible to overwrite or rename it. Is there any way to know which user has the PDF open?I thought of a script that would save a TXT file with the name of the opened PDF + the name of the user next to the PDF when the file is opened.something like:35KW_report_22.pdf35KW_report_22_john_Doe.txtWhen the PDF is closed, the TXT file would be deleted.Is it possible to achieve this somehow? We all using Acrobat DC pro version (Windows).Thanks

File server operating systems such as Windows Server, Unix or Linux, already come equiped with file activity logging and file process auditing, to include group policy (GPO) filtering mechanisms.

These tools are already aimed at file server administrators to facilitate how to monitor shared folders and files, and who is accessing those at any given time.

What operating system are you on that server?

And what is wrong with the built-in file auditing feature, or defining GPO in your organization?

In addition, very operating system (desktop or server) already has built-in activity logging capabilities (per system process or per user).
