Why can't Adobe Acrobat convert images which are on an angle i.e. not orthogonal to the page. I used to be able to do that in Windows XP and an older version of Acrobat when I was creating newsletters in MS Publisher. I now have Win7 & Acrobat Std 2017 and MS Publisher from Win 365. It is especially evident in MS Publisher. Everything (including images) converts to PDF correctly except pictures which are not orthogonal to the page. I've checked out the print quality settings etc, but playing with that makes not a jot of difference. Any ideas?

See the thread at Design Suite - Adobe Acrobat Pro DC cannot convert Microsoft Publisher? .

Acrobat simply does not support direct creation of PDF via PDFMaker in recent releases. You either create PDF by using Microsoft's own built-in (and somewhat buggy) PDF creation or by printing to Acrobat's Adobe PDF printer driver. In those cases, what appears in the PDF is really a Microsoft issue (even in printing to Adobe PDF, it is Publisher which determines how such images are output to PostScript for conversion to PDF).

Unfortunately you can’t attach files to the forum. If you reply directly in the web page (not by email) you can paste or attach screen shots, which may be a good starting point; to share files you need to put them on a file sharing site and post the URL (Web adddress)

I don't think I know what you mean. I guess you mean it is rotated at an angle other than 90, 180, 270 degrees but I don't know of any issues with this. Please show.

Yes, you’re right. Orthogonal means at right angles (regardless of orientation). The attached MS Publisher page demonstrates precisely what I mean. As I mentioned in my original query, some time back I used Windows XP, an older version of Publisher and of Acrobat to produce pretty high-standard newsletters and never had this issue. Now upgraded with Win 7, Office 365 and Acrobat 2017 …. problems. I’d love to find a solution .
