Why can't I install Acrobat CC on a Mac Pro running 10.13.6?

I now have a fresh install of OS 10.13.6, after temporarily and recklessly installing Mojave, which means that the firmware has been changed again. And now I can't install Acrobat from CC because: "check with the developer to make sure Adobe Acrobat works with this version of MacOS. You may need to reinstall the application".Yeah, right. What is going on?
