Why can't I print pdf files after upgrading to Acrobat 9.

Since upgrading to Acrobat 9, I am unable to print pdfs with my Canon ip5000. I have reinstalled my printer and installed the latest driver from Canon. This hasn't helped. I can print pdfs using Acrobat 8.

I still can't get Acrobat to print. Just fails every time. This sucks. I own this expensive program, and I can't do one of it's most basic functions with it!

    One last thing to try:

Look for any .plist files associated with Acrobat In main Library > Preference Directory or User >Library Preference Directory remove these files, to trash.

Open Acrobat and see what happens.

Also, while You have set to print, you should see the printer icon in the Dock. double click on it to open it. look and see if the Printer shows

    like: http://screencast.com/t/Mzg0ZGFlYWMt

click on Start Print so that that you see this:

before you do if you see any print jobs listed in cue list click on each  to highlight and delete each.

If this doesn't help I am out ideas.

I am having the same issue, but I was already on Acrobat 9 Pro, but after installing the CS5 design Suite I can no longer print PDF's in Snow Leopard, but they all print fine from Preview. I am runing 9.3.2 (just updated from 9.3.1 which wasn't working either). This has only happened since I installed CS5, so I am assuming it is more permissions issue nonsense.

I am using an Epson Stylus Photo R280 and the printer moves like it is ready to print, and then I get an error sayhing rastertoescpll failed

The permissions are fine in Application support, but where else could they be? Maybe somethign to do with printing?

Thanks for the reply. I'm currently using my older version to print

pdfs. Annoying, but at least it gets the job done.

I already had Acrobat 9 Pro before I got CS5, so I haven't had Acrobat 8 installed in ages. And Acrobat 9 worked fine for me up until I installed CS5 Design premium.

I have checked the permissions for every Acrobat folder I can find, and they all have my user attached to them, but I just can't get Acrobat 9 Pro to print! This is so annoying!
