why can't I type in all numerics including the decimal point on fillable documents

Yes ... I am using a fillable document/form...it doesn't want to allow me to use numerics with decimals and will only accept $‎ with no cents...?

It's possible the author of the form didn't want you to include decimals, only integer numbers.
