Why do my comments on a shared pdf keep disappearing?

My colleague routinely shares pdf files with multiple people to review. In the past, I've made edits and comments, selected "Done," and everyone else can see them. Now, I do the same thing, and after I've closed the file, my comments disappear. I can't figure out why. Has this happened to anyone else?

    Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

     

    Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

     

    Also in your preferences, make sure you don't have "Hide comment pop-ups when Comments List is open" checked under Edit > Preferences > Commenting.
