Why Does Adobe Acrobat Flatten My PDFs When Saving?

Sometimes, after saving a PDF in Adobe Acrobat, interactive elements like form fields, layers, or annotations disappear, making further edits impossible. This unexpected flattening can be frustrating, especially when working with complex documents. Is it caused by specific settings, file compatibility, or something else? I noticed this issue while managing PDFs related to my website [Link removed] and it’s becoming a major problem. Kindly help me to fix this issue

Did you save the file in a special way? Saving the PDF as an Optimzed PDF can flatten form fields but you would have to check for the options. Especially in the “Discard Objects” section.
