why does Adobe regularly stop working at end of a scan or when i try to email from program

When I finish a scan and try to save the document, Adobe often gives me an error box telling me the program is not responding and is shutting down.

Every time I try to send a scanned document directly from Adobe, the program no longer is responding.

If I successfully scan and save a document, I can ALWAYS go to my Google account and send it as an attachment.

Sorry for the delay in response to your query and apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Please check for any pending updates if Acrobat from Help menu>Check for updates. You may also repair the installation files from Help menu>Repair installation(only for Windows machine)

Resolve Acrobat DC intermittent crashes on Windows

If the issue persists, please share the following details:

  • Is it a Mac or Windows machine?
  • Is it Acrobat or Reader installed, check from Help menu>About Adobe.
  • Check for the latest drivers of Scanner.
