Why my references to figures/tables do not work on PPT after I export PDF to PPT using Acrobat Pro?

I am converting DITA to PDF and the links are working on the PDF. But after I export the PDF to PPT using the Adobe Acrobat Pro version all cross-references to figures and tables stopps working. While all cross-references to sections in this same PPT are working properly, no issue with them.
