Why the repeated demand to logon for local use of Acrobat ?

. Every time I want to open, read, or save a local PDF document it repeatedly opens an Adobe Login window which prevents the Acrobat local window use. 
. I must then eXit that Login window a half-dozen times (per function) before it stops and allows me to get back to my intended local Acrobat function. 
. This appears to be an Adobe harassment policy & tactic to encourage unnecessary sharing of my local files.  
. A similar complaint “Why must I open Adobe?”, was locked for comment about two years ago, presumably to prevent pile-on complaints, or the posting of this work-around.
