Will Creative Suite 3/Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro install and work on MAC OS 10.6.8

Looking for wisdom as Adobe site mentions it working on 10.4 and 10.5

Any users had luck with it installing and working on Mac OS 10.6.8?

    And finally CS3 can no longer be activated so it is useless to you. It’s dead.

    Might be, but it's not supported. See: https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/system-requirements-old-versions.html#AdobeReader9

    It's also a security risk, as this version is outdated and therefore not kept up-to-date by Adobe any longer.
