Windows Cryptographic Service Provider Error #2148073492

Hi,
I am trying to sign a pdf document using a Paperless vTokenului , but I'm receiveing the following error: The Windows Cryptographic Service Provider reported an error: Invalid type specified. Error code 2148073492.
I have tried multiple ways of fixing this issue but without any success: Ditching the new signing interface for the old one (how i found about the error), restarting the cryptographic service, checking to see if the certificate is present in internet options -> certificates (it is) and recreating the cryptographic folder.

If anyone has any ideea on how I could solve this I would appreciate it, thanks.
