Windows Cryptographic Service Provider, Keyset does not exist Error Code 2148073494

I have a user who is getting the following error when trying to sign PDF documents.

The Windows Cryptographic Service Provider reported an error:

Keyset does not exist

Error Code: 2148073494

She is using Adobe Acrobat 11 Pro.  I updated Adobe and renamed the crypto file.  Neither one of those worked.  What are my other options?

She is using Windows 7.

Hi Jeffl,

Sorry for the delayed response.

As per the description, Windows cryptographic service error appears when a user trying to sign pdfs in Acrobat XI Pro, is this correct?

Please try updating driver for the signature device as suggested in this link and see if that helps: Windows cryptographic service provider error, error code 2148073485 . If that doesn't work, try re-creating Digital ID using the steps given in the following link: Signature creation error when you sign a PDF (Adobe Acrobat 8, 9 on Windows)

Could you let us know the version of Acrobat installed on the user's machine?

You may refer to this link on how to: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Let us know how it goes.
